The shooting, which had been taking place in Gujarat, has now been shifted 1,400 kilometers to Hyderabad. The Gujarat schedule, which marked the seventh phase of shooting, has successfully wrapped up.
Cinematographer Sujith Vasudev also took to social media to celebrate the milestone. Posting on X (formerly Twitter), he wrote, “Empuraan's shoot days: 100 days and counting...”.
Following shoots in both the U.S. and India, the production is set to continue in international locations, including Dubai. ‘Empuraan’ is expected to release in March 2025, aligning with the anniversary of its predecessor ‘Lucifer’, which hit theaters on March 28, 2019. The film will have a multi-lingual release in Malayalam, Tamil, Telugu, Hindi and Kannada.
