Renowned actress Sona Nair said that she had faced severe criticism for acting in the short film 'Kapalika'. The actress also said that she still feels disappointed and sad about her character in the superhit film 'Naran', starring Mohanlal. The actress made the revelations in an interview given to a YouTube channel.
"I received severe criticism for acting in the short film 'Kapalika'. Those were the times when I wondered whether people had no other job to do. Most of them criticized me without even knowing what the short film was about. I had not done such a character before that. I have received several awards for my performance in 'Kapalika'. There are no intimate scenes in that short film. My picture was included in the poster of the film to convey the depth of the character. However, people started criticizing me on seeing that poster. They said that I was doing such bad characters as I was not getting any films," Sona Nair said.
She also spoke about her character in Naran. "The character of Kunnummel Shantha remains incomplete for me. We had shot a few scenes, but they were not included in the final version of the film. Many people have said that they liked my performance in the film. However, I always feel sad when I hear that. I have said this in many interviews. However, many people criticized me for saying so," she said.
