From Rs 150 crore to just Rs 30 crore; Things go from bad to worse for Toxic

The downward spiral of Yash's movie Toxic continues as the latest news suggests that the producers are facing a loss of Rs 300 crore after the movie bombed at the box office.

It is reported that the makers had previously received an OTT offer worth Rs 150 crore but negotiated for something above Rs 200 crore, thus stalling the agreement. The makers believed that the post-release scenario would give a big boost, and a deal around Rs 250 to 300 crore was on the cards.

However, things didn’t pan out as expected by the makers, and the movie ended up as one of the biggest disasters of 2026. Things couldn’t have gone worse for the makers, as it is rumoured that OTT platforms are now offering only up to Rs 30 crore for the movie. The biggest offer is purportedly from ZEE5.

Experts suggest that the satellite offer is expected to bring only little revenue due to its adult content. As per reports from Bollywood Hungama, the makers are planning a new edit for the television version in the hope of attracting viewers.

The film amassed Rs 120 crore on its opening day, but it is expected to finish with an overall collection of just Rs 350 crore in total. As per sources, the movie was made at a budget of Rs 600 crore.
