The dark underbelly of the film industry has been exposed in recent times, with several actresses sharing their horrific experiences on film sets. Bollywood actress Sayani Gupta has now come out revealing one such ordeal she faced on a film set.
"I had a really bad experience while doing a kissing scene for a film. The actor continued kissing me even after the director said 'cut'," Sayani said.
Sayani also said that it is necessary to have an intimacy coordinator on set while doing such intimate scenes.
"Many people used to take advantage while shooting intimate scenes. I've acted with actors who continued kissing even after the director said 'cut'. They'll make us uncomfortable. No one else would know about this. But it's a bad thing," Sayani said.
The actress also opened up about another uncomfortable experience she had while acting in the series 'Four More Shots Please'.
"While shooting for a scene in 'Four More Shots Please', I had to lie on a beach in Goa in a very short dress. Around 70 men were standing in front of me. However, not even one of them was ready to give me a shawl. The lack of concern for an actor’s or anyone’s safety is concerning. Boundaries are often compromised, and this mindset needs to change," she said.
