Years after skipping Miss India over bikini, Gayathri Suresh makes stunning glamour debut

Gayathri Suresh entered the film industry after winning the Miss Kerala title, making her big-screen debut as Kunchacko Boban’s heroine in Jamna Pyari. But long before her latest glamorous appearance, the actress had once revealed that her hesitation about wearing a bikini was the reason she stayed away from the Miss India pageant.

Gayathri opened up about it during a show hosted by Rimi Tomy. When Rimi asked why she had not participated in the Miss India competition, Gayathri said she believed she would have to wear a bikini as part of the pageant, and that was what made her decide not to take part.

The revelation became a talking point at the time. Years later, in an interview with Kaumudy Movies last year, Gayathri admitted that she regretted her decision to skip Miss India because she was worried about having to wear a bikini.

Now, years after making that confession, Gayathri has surprised fans with a very different kind of appearance.

The actress features in a bikini in the teaser of Disco, directed by Ullas Chemban after Anchakkallakokkan. The teaser, released recently, features Gayathri walking in a bikini in one of its scenes, and her glamorous new look has caught plenty of attention online.

Interestingly, many fans have been quick to connect her latest appearance with her old Miss India revelation. Some are even asking, with a hint of amusement, whether this is the same Gayathri who once stayed away from the pageant because she was hesitant to wear a bikini.
