Lovemaking inside hotel room, marriage at church...; How it all started between Greeshma and Sharon

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: After three days of trial procedures, the Neyyattinkara Additional Sessions Court awarded the death penalty to Greeshma. She was proven guilty of poisoning her beau Sharon Raj to death only to come out of the relationship. The murder was planned as Sharon proved a hindrance to her chances of getting into another marriage. Greeshma lured Sharon to her house, pretending to have sex while he had no clue of what was awaiting him.

Sharon was made to drink the poison-mixed drink and soon ended up vomiting. After eleven days in hospital, he succumbed to death on October 25 2022. Sharon, a Parassala native was a final year student of B.Sc Radiology at Neyoor Christian College of Allied Health.

Both Greeshma and Sharon first met each other in October 2021. According to the charge sheet of the case, Sharon and Greeshma met on the bus while travelling to college and later fell in love. Months later, in March 2022, Greeshma's family fixed her marriage with a soldier. Meanwhile, in an interesting lore, a family astrologer is said to have predicted that her first husband would die prematurely.

Hearing the news of Greeshma’s marriage proposal, Sharon took her to Vettucaud Church and tied the nuptial knot, marrying her. Soon, they took a room in Tamil Nadu’s Thirparappu and made love. Things were far from settled as Greeshma started losing interest in the relationship and was rather looking forward to marrying the soldier. However, Sharon could not be convinced. He was not ready to leave her, which paved the way for the evil plan.

On October 14, 2022, Sharon arrived at Greeshma's house in Kanyakumari with his friend Reji. Greeshma gave Sharon a decoction mixed with the herbicide paraquat. She also served him juice, to help him come out of the bitter taste induced by the decoction. Sharon vomited inside the room and even threw up several times while returning on his friend’s bike.

Sharon returned home after treatment at Parassala General Hospital but was admitted to the hospital again the next day due to sores inside his mouth. Meanwhile, it is understood from some of the chats that Sharon had a suspicion that Greeshma had cheated on her, but he never wanted people to know the truth or blame her.
