During a promotional event, Anaswara was asked by a fan to sing a song, but her reaction to the request has sparked discussion. A video of the incident has gone viral on the internet. The incident took place during the promotion of the film Painkili, in which Anaswara stars alongside Sajin Gopu. Other actors were also present on stage.
