As the founder of Agasthyam Kalari Payattu, Dr. Mahesh has transformed the way Kalaripayattu is taught and perceived. He established India’s first structured Teacher Training Certification (TTC) program for Kalaripayattu, ensuring a systematic approach to training instructors and preserving the art for future generations. His initiatives, including Nalludal (holistic wellness program), Prana (breath control), and Shakthi (women’s self-defense training), have empowered thousands across India.
His Shakthi program has successfully trained over 12,000 women and girls in self-defense, promoting confidence and resilience. His film "Lifesketch of Sree Narayana Guru" won the State Television Award for direction. Currently, he is the Director and Writer of the Pan-Indian film "Kaaliyan," starring Malayalam superstar Prithviraj, a project that aims to showcase the warrior traditions of Kerala.
