Had to stay at home even after being the hero of Bhavana; some call me 'Mammootty of the serial'

The film and serial actor Sajan Surya openly admitted that he had high expectations after doing a film in which he acted as the hero of Bhavana.

Sajan Surya also said that only by working hard can one get a place in the film. Sajan Surya said in an interview granted to a YouTube channel that some people call him the Mammootty of serial.

'Fans call me the Mammootty of serial. I am called that because there has been little change in my appearance for years. It may be because of the workouts I do or because of genetic factors. Apart from that, I am not even qualified to be compared with Mammootty. His artistic contribution is beyond imagination.

It was while I was acting in serials that I got the opportunity to act as the hero of Bhavana in the film 'Banglavil Outha'. After acting in that film, I stayed at home without a job for two years. My thought at that time was that I would get more opportunities after the film's release. That thought was stupid. Films don't need us. We need film.

Till now, I haven't attempted much to gain more foothold in the industry. However, I wish to try more in this regard. If someone helps me with even a small role, maybe I will succeed. I would like to compete in Bigg Boss. I want to experience what the Bigg Boss program is like,' said Sajan Surya.
