I wanted someone with that innocent smile, says Geethu Mohandas

Actor turned filmmaker Geetu Mohandas’ words on actor Nivin Pauly at the Toronto International Film Festival is going viral in the social media. Geethu Mohandas is the director of Moothon which has Nivin Pauly in the lead role. She opened her mind on why she casted him in the film.

“I wanted someone who never expected to become an actor in Moothon. I wanted someone with an innocent smile. That is the reason why I chose Nivin for the role. I was confident that Nivin will fit for the role,” she said.

She said casting Nivin Pauly, a superstar among young actors, helped in the film’s funding. Meantime, she said that she doesn’t agree of separating directors as male and female.
