Director Geethu Mohandas is facing severe online denunciation after the release of the character introduction video of Raya from the film Toxic, starring Yash in the lead role, following the KGF series. The teaser was released with a mix of action, mass and sex. The discussion on social media is based on Yash's intro scene in the film and Geethu Mohandas' previous feminist stance.

The criticism on social media is that those who spoke against Kasaba then are now portraying women in a bad light. Comments are that they did not expect such a character introduction video from Geetu Mohandas. Some people are mocking and sarcastically comment that nothing has happened to femininity. "We know you won't give a feel-good theme for a movie called Toxic. But isn't this a bit over the top, Geetu Mohandas?" they ask.

Kasaba director Nithin Renji Panicker had come forward following the release of the first teaser of the movie Toxic. Nithin had said that the person who criticised the movie Kasaba for being misogynistic conveniently changed the interpretation of misogyny when she made a movie in another language.
