Woman doctor collapses and dies on hospital premises

SASTHAMKOTTA: A woman doctor collapsed and died while she was on her way to report for duty. The deceased, Dr MS Maya (52), is a native of Sooranad.

The incident occurred at around 8 am on Monday while Maya was on her way to work at the Attappady tribal hospital. Though she was rushed to the Coimbatore hospital, doctors were not able to save her life. The funeral took place on Monday evening at Sooranad. She is survived by husband Vijayamadhavan, daughter Eeswari and son Bharath.
