THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Many children in Kerala watch Korean films and that several such movies encourage violent tendencies among children, said Home Minister Ramesh Chennithala in the assembly.

‘Many children in Kerala are now watching Korean films. I am not blaming any particular country. We have received complaints that several films of this kind encourage violent tendencies among children.

Children now have access to watch crime films from various countries. Then there are online games. A 13-year-old child from my constituency watched her grandfather’s murder live on her mobile phone. She showed no remorse.

The ‘Cyber Safe Kerala’ initiative is being developed to prevent the rise of violent tendencies among children.
