KOCHI: The left front and customs department has entered into an open fight as the latter has submitted the testimony of Swapna Suresh, in which she alleged chief minister and speaker have direct links in the dollar transfer case, in the form of a justification plea before the court. SDPI has also conducted a march towards the regional office of customs in Thiruvananthapuram, Kochi and Kozhikode. Meanwhile, the customs commissioner has written in his Facebook profile that the current threats issued by the party won’t produce any results. The post is written with the image of the poster of LDF’s march to the regional offices of the department.

Meanwhile, union minister V Muraleedhran has said that the CPM’s victim tag over the customs investigation is baseless. “The information revealed by the agency on Saturday were not publicised through a press conference. Those facts came to light from the affidavit filed by them before the court. Also, the centre has not told the media in Kerala that such a case is being considered by the court,” he said.
