KOCHI: Renowned cinematographer VA Dilshad (54) died of Covid in Mumbai. A native of Ernakulam, he is survived by wife Babitha and son Aman Dilshad.
He lived in Borivali, Mumbai for many years. He had worked as an assistant to renowned cinematographer Ramachandra Babu in 53 Malayalam films. After moving to Mumbai, he first worked as an independent cinematographer for the film 'The Waiting Room'. He also shot two Hindi films directed by Abbas Mustan. He was a cinematographer of two Marathi and three English films. His last film was 'Black Waters.'
