State Disaster Management Department issues order to provide financial assistance to families of Covid victims

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The State Disaster Management Department has issued an order sanctioning Rs 50,000 to the families of those who died of Covid as per the instructions of the central government. The money will be disbursed from the State Disaster Response Fund. In addition to those who are named in the list of people who died of Covid as per the norms of the central government, assistance will also be available to those who die during the Covid prevention activities. A detailed guideline on how this will be made available to beneficiaries will be released soon.
