Kerala records 11,150 COVID-19 cases on Wednesday, 82 deaths

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The state confirmed 7643 COVID-19 cases on Wednesday. Among these, 10,689 persons developed the disease through contact, including 348 cases without an identified source of infection. 41 persons, who came from outside the state, tested positive for the virus. 72 health workers contracted the disease on Wednesday.

8592 patients tested negative for the virus today. As of now, there are 82,738 active cases in the state.

The state confirmed 82 deaths due to the virus on Wednesday with the toll rising to 27,084.

District wise breakup of positive cases:
Ernakulam 2012, Thiruvananthapuram 1700, Thrissur 1168, Kozhikode 996, Kottayam 848, Kollam 846, Malappuram 656, Alappuzha 625, Kannur 531, Idukki 439, Pathanamthitta 427, Palakkad 415, Wayanad 328 and Kasaragod 159.

94,151 samples were tested in the last 24 hours.
