KOCHI: Two CPI workers were hacked after a clash broke out between CPM and CPI workers in Kalady on Friday night. Puthiyakara natives Xavier and Christian Baby are undergoing treatment at the Thrissur Medical College Hospital.

CPI has alleged that the attack was led by the DYFI unit secretary. They said that the CPM workers attacked them by barging into their houses.

A dispute had broken out between the two groups over the Christmas celebrations. The attack took place soon after that.
