Kerala records 2423 COVID-19 cases on Thursday, 15 deaths

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The state confirmed 2423 COVID-19 cases on Thursday. Among these, 2262 persons developed the disease through contact, including 108 cases without an identified source of infection. 27 persons, who came from outside the state, tested positive for the virus. 26 health workers contracted the disease on Thursday.

2879 patients tested negative for the virus today. As of now, there are 19,835 active cases in the state.

The state confirmed 15 deaths due to the virus on Thursday with the toll rising to 47,441.

District wise breakup of positive cases:

Ernakulam 455, Thiruvananthapuram 416, Kozhikode 266, Kottayam 195, Thrissur 192, Kannur 152, Pathanamthitta 150, Kollam 149, Alappuzha 99, Malappuram 98, Idukki 88, Wayanad 67, Palakkad 64, Kasaragod 32.

58,459 samples were tested in the last 24 hours.
