KOCHI: The Bishop of Neyyattinkara said that he had not intervened for Dileep’s bail in the actress attack case. He also clarified that he has no connection either with Dileep or director Balachandra Kumar.

The Diocese of Neyyattinkara asked not to drag them into the controversy. Dileep had alleged that Balachandra Kumar had told him that he has a close relationship with the bishop and that he had intervened for bail. The allegation was made in the affidavit filed in the high court.

Meantime, seven hours have passed since Dileep's interrogation started in the case registered against him and five others for allegedly threatening officials probing the sexual assault of an actress. Dileep reached the crime branch office in Kalamassery around 9 in the morning. The crime branch's interrogation is focusing on Kumar's statement and digital evidences.
