Crescent moon not sighted in Kerala, Ramadan fasting to begin from April 3

KOZHIKODE: Kerala hilal committee (KNM) chairman M Muhammad Madani said that the start of Ramadan fasting will be on Sunday as the crescent moon was not sighted in Kerala. But Sunni groups will announce the decision tomorrow.

Meanwhile, Ramadan fasting will begin tomorrow in Saudi Arabia as the crescent moon was sighted there. The fasting will start in the UAE from tomorrow. The crescent moon was sighted in South Australia and the imam said the fast would begin tomorrow. Egypt has also announced that the Ramadan fasting will begin tomorrow. Meanwhile, countries like Oman, Malaysia and Indonesia have announced that they will start fasting on April 3.
