THRIUVANANTHAPURAM: Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan has said that the people will not be homeless in the name of development. The Chief Minister was inaugurating the state level handing over of keys of 20,808 houses under the Life mission scheme to Ameer and Aisha, a couple from Chanankara 16th ward in Kathinamkulam Grama Panchayat.

The taste of development should be tasted by all. This is the first time in India that a state has built and handed over so many houses to the poor. The holistic development that the LDF seeks is universal and based on social justice. And there should be other big and small projects. Some things that were considered as impossible in Kerala are now coming true.

One of them is the development of the National Highways. No one was left homeless during land acquisition. They were all happy when they received the compensation. The CM also said that big projects should be completed for development.

Minister M.V. Govindan presided over the function. V Sasi MLA, Life Mission CEO PB Noah, Navakeralam Action Plan Coordinator TN Seema, Pothencode Block Panchayat TR Hariprasad and many others were present during the function.
