Widespread violence in state; bombs hurled at congress office in Kozhikode

KOZHIKODE: A tense situation is prevailing in the state after the inflight protests against the chief minister. In a fresh case, bombs were hurled at the congress office in Perambra. The attack was towards the Perambra mandalam committee office. The window panes of the office and doors have been completely damaged. The incident happened Tuesday morning at 1 am.

A clash between the CPM and the Congress were witnessed all over the state yesterday. The Congress will observe Black Day today against the attacks on Congress offices including KPCC headquarters.

The DGP has directed the state to be extra vigilant in case clashes break out. He has directed to deploy maximum number of police personnel in troubled areas. Security at the police headquarters has been tightened.
