Interrupted police duty, officer in-charge of T Siddique’s security suspended

WAYANAD: A police officer was suspended for allegedly interrupting police duty during a UDF march launched in protest against the attack on Rahul Gandhi’s office. The suspended officer has been identified a Smibin, the officer in-charge of Kalpetta MLA T Siddique’s security. He was suspended by the chief of police, Wayanad district.

Smibin, along with UDF activists had disrupted police operations, attempted to dislodge policemen on duty, grabbed a CPO’s uniform and snatched a lathi. According to reports, department level action is likely to be taken against him.
