Disrespectful, total disgrace to Indian Army and Sikhs; Former England cricketer Monty Panesar calls to boycott ‘Lal Singh Chaddha’

‘Lal Singh Chaddha’, starring Bollywood superstar Aamir Khan and directed by Advait Chandan, is the official remake of Tom Hanks starrer ‘Forrest Gump’, which was released in 1994.

The film was released after going through numerous crises including criticisms and calls for boycott. Now, former England cricketer Monty Panesar has levelled criticisms against the movie.

The cricketer has called for the boycott of the movie. Taking to Twitter, Panesar wrote, “Aamir plays a moron in Lal Singh Chadda… Forrest Gump was a moron too!! Disrespectful, Disgraceful”.

“Forrest Gump fits in the US Army because the US was recruiting low IQ men to meet requirements for the Vietnam War. This movie is total disgrace to India Armed Forces Indian Army and Sikhs !! Disrespectful. Disgraceful”, he added.

In addition to Aamir’s movie, criticisms were also rife against Akshay Kumar’s ‘Raksha Bandhan’. Kareena Kapoor plays the female lead in ‘Lal Singh Chaddha’. The film is produced by Aamir Khan Productions, Viacom18 Studios and Paramount Pictures.
