THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The university and the government are locking horns with the Chancellor, the Governor, by not giving a Senate representative to the search committee formed by the Governor for the appointment of the Kerala VC.

The notification was issued announcing Kozhikode IIM Director Prof. Debashis Chatterjee as the Chancellor's representative and Karnataka Central University VC Prof. Battu Satyanarayana as representative of the UGC. The representative of the Senate has not been selected. The notification states that it will be included when the name is received from the university. With this, the first battle in the amendment with the Governor will be regarding Kerala VC appointment.
