Man pushes wife before moving train, flees with children

MUMBAI: A man pushed a woman in front of a moving train and then fled with his children. He dragged the woman out of sleep and then pushed her in front of a train. The shocking incident happened at Vasai railway station in Palghar of Maharashtra. The visuals captured on CCTV show a man approaching her and waking her up when was sleeping on a platform bench.

A verbal dispute broke out between the two in the railway station. Everyone was seen sleeping after that. Seeing the train coming, he woke up his wife and then pushed her in front of the train. He pushed her before Awadh Express and she was crushed to death. The man was then seen picking up the two children and fleeing.

The woman who sustained serious injuries may have died on the spot itself. The railway police said the man first went to Dadar and from there to Kalyan. He was later arrested from Bhiwandi town in Thane.
