THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: A high-level meeting called by Police Chief Anil Kant has decided to provide expert training to all policemen to use modern technologies to prove crimes. Usually, the police officers in the state use mobile tower locations and phone call information to prove most of the cases. Instead, they will be provided training to use foreign investigative methods.

Equipment and facilities will be provided to detect and apprehend drug use. The DGP will recommend to the Chief Minister to allocate more funds for this purpose.

SPs should intervene in the welfare of police officers. They should ensure timely redressal of grievances in their pay, pension and service matters. All the SPs and top officials attended the meeting called by the DGP to review the three-month investigation and the progress of the cases.
