N Ramachandran foundation award to Rajdeep Sardesai

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: India Today Consulting Editor and news anchor Rajdeep Sardesai has been named the winner of the N Ramachandran Award for Excellence, instituted by the foundation in the memory of N Ramachandran, who was a prominent journalist and Editorial Advisor of Kerala Kaumudi.

Foundation president and Chief Minister's Media Adviser Prabha Varma informed that Governor Arif Mohammad Khan will present the award, which includes one lakh rupees, a sculpture and a citation, on October 5 at 5:00 PM during the Ramachandran Memorial Conference at the Symphony Hall of Muscat Hotel.

Other prominent persons who had won the N Ramachandran award in the previous years are Sitaram Yechury, MK Sanu, Medha Patkar and IM Vijayan.

Former Ambassador TP Srinivasan will deliver an N Ramachandran memorial lecture on 'Media and Diplomacy'. Prabha Varma will preside over the function.
