Governor seeks information related to the accident

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Governor Arif Mohammad Khan on Thursday sought information about the accident in Vadakancherry in which 9 people, including five school students, died. The governor, who is in Hyderabad, called minister MB Rajesh over the phone and sought information.

"This tragic accident is shocking. Condolences to the relatives of the deceased. May God give you the strength to overcome this grief," the governor said in a message.

Shocked to hear about the accident: Chief Minister
Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan said that the accident in Vadakkancherry has shocked everyone. In his condolence message, the CM said that strict action will be taken against the violations on the road. "The government will make necessary arrangements to provide necessary medical assistance to the injured. The ministers are directly leading the relief works," he said.
