KANNUR: A flash strike was conducted by private buses in Kannur alleging that students with concession are occupying seats. Buses servicing on Thalassery-Kannur route protested by stopping services from around 10 am. With this, the passengers on this route were left stranded.

About 40 students are boarding on the same bus. As the bus is full of students, other passengers are unable to travel on the bus. These students also occupy the seats. Bus employees also say that this is affecting the daily collection of the bus.

At the same time, the students and student organizations are alleging that the current strike is a revenge for taking action against the employees of ‘Sigma’ bus a week ago. Action was taken against ‘Sigma’ bus for making the students stand in the rain. It is reported that there will be a discussion regarding the protest in the evening.
