Cartoon Network not shutting down, channel dismisses rumours

Cartoon Network is one of the fondest childhood memories for 90’s kids. Tom and Jerry, Ben 10 and The Powerpuff Girls are shows that have been enjoyed for generations. There was a time when parents complained that Cartoon Network had turned children into television addicts. Recently, it was reported that Cartoon Network was shutting down due to certain issues. But that’s not true.

An official statement says that Warner Bros. Animation and Cartoon Network Studios are going to merge. Warner Bros. has stated that the news that the channel is going to be shut down is false. The company confirmed the news that some of the employees have been laid off, but clarified that the channel will still be available.

Cartoon Network took to social media to respond to the rumors. The channel tweeted, ‘ Y’all we're not dead, we're just turning 30. To our fans: We're not going anywhere. We have been and will always be your home for beloved, innovative cartoons. More to come soon!’.
