THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has warned that Kerala is likely to receive heavy rainfall for next two days. According to IMD, the state is likely to receive heavy rains due to the formation of a low-pressure area over the Southwest Bay of Bengal this evening. The Meteorological Department said that the low pressure is likely to intensify in the next 48 hours. From November 9 to 11, it will move in the northwest direction and will face toward the Tamil Nadu-Puducherry coastal area.

As a result of this, there is a possibility of two days of widespread rain in Kerala and heavy rain in isolated places. Heavy rainfall is likely to occur in Kerala on November 12 and 13. Following this, a yellow alert has been sounded in various districts.
