Car carrying Ayyappa devotees catches fire in Idukki

IDUKKI: The vehicle carrying Ayyappa devotees caught fire. The incident happened Monday early morning at 4.30 am on 62 mile near Vandiperiyar. No casualty has been reported.

The car carrying devotees from Guntur in Andhra Pradesh caught fire. There were five passengers in the car. A major tragedy was averted as those in the car got out seeing smoke emanating. The fire was doused by the locals, safe zone team of motor vehicle department and Peerumedu fire force team.
