KANNUR: Kalliasseri MLA M Vijin responded to the cyberattacks targeting actor Mammootty as well as leaders of the DYFI (Democratic Youth Federation of India) and SFI (Students' Federation of India). Vijin clarified that the state-level leadership of the DYFI and SFI visited Mammootty in response to an invitation from the actor himself. The MLA shared his response alongside a video featuring Mammootty on social media.
Vijin on social media:
“DYFI and SFI leaders went to meet Mammootty—the legendary actor of Malayalam cinema—at his invitation. Mammootty welcomed everyone with great warmth. We spent a long time sharing views on political and cultural matters. Mammootty shared his personal experiences, observations rooted in humanism, and his outlook on life. The interaction was truly democratic.
The controversies surrounding the visit to the Wayanad township should have ended long ago. It is inappropriate to continue raising criticisms regarding a matter that comrade Rafeeq and Mammootty had resolved through direct conversation. Democratic culture thrives through dialogue, discussion, agreement and disagreement. While maintaining uncompromising political stances, one must also place importance on human values.”
