Excise registers case against film director Omar Lulu for promoting use of drugs in his movie

KOZHIKODE: A case has been registered against film director Omar Lulu's movie 'Nalla Samayam' for allegedly promoting the use of drugs. The case has been filed against the film's director and producer. The case was filed under the Abkari and NDPS Acts by Excise, Kozhikode Range.

The teaser of the movie has scenes where the characters are using the deadly drug MDMA, accompanied by dialogues encouraging its use. The movie has hit the theatres today.

The movie with Irshad Ali in the lead role has five new actresses in important roles. 'Nalla Samayam' is Omar Lulu's 6th directorial after Happy Weddings, Chunks, Oru Adar Love, Dhamaka, and Power Star.
