10-member team to investigate Nayana's death

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: A 10-member team comprising a DySP, two CIs and led by Crime SP Madhusoodanan will investigate the death of director Nayana Surya. DySP Jaleel, CIs Anil Kumar and Mubarak are in the team.

Although an official notification regarding the investigation was sent from the crime branch headquarters to the Jawahar Nagar office yesterday, the case file has not been handed over.

"The investigation will begin by looking into various things, including the errors in the investigation of the local police." SP Madhusoodanan said.

Family demands CBI probe
Meanwhile, Nayana's family will meet Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan today demanding a CBI probe into Nayana's death. Nayana's mother Sheela, brother Madhu and father Dineshan will meet the Chief Minister. Former Minister J Mercykutty Amma will also be present. The family will also demand action against the officials who made lapses in the investigation.
