TEHRAN: Iran has decided to put a bounty on US President Donald Trump and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. The chairman of the Iranian parliament's National Security and Foreign Policy Committee, Ebrahim Aziz, has stated that Iran is moving to announce a $58 million bounty for anyone assassinating both the leaders.
Aziz said the committee is preparing a bill entitled "Counterattack by the military and security forces of the Islamic Republic" that would offer a reward of 50 million euros (about $58.23 million) to the person or entity that assassinates Trump and Netanyahu and "sends them to hell". The new move is in retaliation for the assassination of former Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei. The reward will also be given to those who kill Admiral Brad Cooper, the commander of the United States Central Command.
Handala, a cyberwarfare group operating under the Iranian government, had also previously announced a $50 million bounty for anyone who could eliminate Trump and Netanyahu. The announcement was in response to the US Department of Justice offering a $10 million reward for the capture of members of the organisation.
The new move comes after US declined Iran’s new peace proposal to end the Middle East war. Iran's peace move is being made through the intermediary of Pakistan. It is reported that Iran has not compromised on its demands, such as the complete lifting of sanctions, the release of frozen assets, and continued control over the Strait of Hormuz.
