France to face Spain in World Cup semi-final; Mbappe vs Lamine Yamal in focus

DALLAS: European heavyweights France and Spain will clash in the first semi-final of the FIFA World Cup on Wednesday. The match will kick off at 12.30 am IST in Dallas.

France booked their place in the last four with a 2-0 win over Morocco in the quarter-finals. Spain, meanwhile, defeated Belgium 2-1 to reach the semi-finals.

Both teams are unbeaten in the tournament. France have won all their matches so far, while Spain drew their opening game against Cape Verde before winning every match since.

France will look to captain Kylian Mbappe to lead the attack, while teenage sensation Lamine Yamal will be Spain's key player.

The second semi-final will be played on Thursday at 12.30 am IST, with Argentina taking on England.
