KCL third season begins today: Two matches set for Greenfield Stadium

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The third season of the Kerala Cricket League (KCL) will begin today, with Thrissur Titans taking on Calicut Globstars in the opening match at the Greenfield Stadium in Karyavattom from 2.30 pm. In the second match of the opening day, defending champions Kochi Blue Tigers will face inaugural-season champions Kollam Sailors. The match will begin at 7.45 pm. Two matches will be played each day until the semi-finals on September 4. The final is scheduled for September 5.

Chris Gayle to attend KCL match on August 29

West Indies cricket legend Chris Gayle, co-owner of Kochi Blue Tigers, will visit the Greenfield Stadium in Karyavattom on August 29 to watch a KCL match.Thrissur Titans will face Kochi Blue Tigers in the 2.30 pm match that day.

• Kochi Blue Tigers vs Kollam Sailors — 7.45 pm onwards
