‘Sanju, I love you’: Pakistani expresses love from gallery; Conversation between two goes viral

TOKYO: A humorous conversation between Indian cricketer Sanju Samson and a fan following the one-day T20 match between India and Japan has gone viral on social media. A Pakistani national openly expressed his admiration for Sanju. A video of a man speaking to Sanju from outside the stadium while the Indian players were resting after the match has been widely circulated.

The fan initially tried to call Ishan Kishan. When he walked away without noticing him, the fan called out to Sanju, who was standing nearby. ‘Sanju, I love you. Can you call Abhishek?’ the fan asked. Sanju replied that Abhishek Sharma is presently having food and would come out after finishing. Sanju also told the fan that the match had only just ended and that Abhishek would come out after eating.

The video also shows Sanju asking the fan to wait at a particular spot. The fan agreed. It was then that he unexpectedly revealed his nationality. ‘I’ll wait there, but I’m from Pakistan. I love you,’ the fan said. This made the conversation between the two even more noteworthy.

The match between India and Japan was reduced to five overs due to rain. Batting first, India scored 32 runs for the loss of four wickets in five overs. In reply, Japan could only manage 30 runs for the loss of three wickets. With this, India secured a thrilling two-run victory.
