Six Indians among eight killed tragically in mini bus-truck crash in Dubai's Emirates road

DUBAI: Eight people were killed in a tragic road accident on Emirates Road. Six of the victims are Indians. The accident occurred when a minibus coming at high speed from behind crashed into a truck that had suddenly braked on the road due to a technical fault.

There were 16 people on the bus, including the driver. Eight people were injured in the accident. Four of them are in critical condition. Two of the injured are Indians. Traffic was disrupted on Emirates Road for a long time following the accident. The snarl was resolved after the police arrived. Dubai Police said the accident was caused by the minibus not maintaining the required distance while travelling behind the truck.
