'YouTuber's rude remarks left whole family in distress'; actor Aneesh Gopal's wife responds

A Video shared by the wife of actor Aneesh Gopal is now going viral on social media. In the video, Varna, wife of Aneesh, opened up about the mental trauma the family went through following an insult, veiled as criticism, made by a popular Malayalam YouTuber against Aneesh. Varna also shared the audio of an actress who expressed a similar opinion about the YouTuber.

Yesterday, Aneesh opened up about a Malayalam YouTuber whose rude remarks left his whole family in distress.

"Hi, I'm Varna, wife of actor Aneesh Gopal. I am doing this video after careful consideration. Our family went through severe mental distress following the remarks made by a YouTuber. The YouTuber can consider me a sister. You can criticise a film, talk about characters, but it is unbecoming and uncouth to personally abuse actors and body-shame them. You have no right to do that.

You simply don’t have any idea about how your words hurt the actor and his family members. I am requesting that you stop using drugs or alcohol before doing a cinema review. The YouTuber called me and apologised. In fact, it is to the public that he should apologise first," said Varna.

It was just a few days ago that Aneesh Gopal opened up about the distress he went through following the remarks made by the YouTuber for the movie Vivaah starring Dhyan Sreenivasan. Aneesh also revealed that the YouTuber told him that it was after consuming alcohol that he did the review.
