Actor Arjun Bijlani cleared the air on dating rumours with Bollywood actress Mouni Roy. His response was against the rumors circulating on social media after a picture of the two were seen returning together after dinner, had surfaced. He requested the media not to portray their friendship of over 15 years as a romantic relationship for the headlines of a gossip page.

The actor also asked the paparazzi to avoid giving false headlines to attract people and to report news responsibly. He opined that responsible journalism creates credibility. Actress Crystal D'Souza also came forward responding that posting anything for views is absurd.

Arjun and Mouni gained attention in 2015 through Ekta Kapoor's popular serial 'Naagin'. The chemistry of the two, who played the characters of Hrithik and Shivanya in the series, was much noticed. Rumors had spread earlier that the two would come together in life as well. However, the stars have previously clarified that they are only close friends. Such fake news has started gaining strength again after Mouni Roy recently divorced her husband.
