Highest-grossing Tamil film from Kerala in 2026: Vijay's 'Jana Nayagan' in Rs 300 crore glory

Actor Vijay's swansong film Jana Nayagan collected Rs 300 crores in its 11th day of release. With the collection touching such whopping numbers, Jana Nayagan became the highest-grossing Tamil film from Kerala this year.

Jana Nayagan surpassed the collection record set by Karuppu and Blast, which were other blockbuster movies that went on to run in packed houses in Kerala. Jana Nayagan is also the second Tamil film this year to enter the 100 crore club. Not many other actors could brag about such an achievement other than Vijay, since the movie's pirated version was released months before and was watched by over one crore people. Despite this, the Vijay movie went on to amass as much as Rs 300 crore within just days after the release.

Jana Nayagan, directed by H Vinoth, stars Pooja Hegde as the heroine while Malayali Mamitha Baiju plays a pivotal role.
