'Back in Thiruvananthapuram from Vellore, let that miracle happen soon'

Actor and presenter Rajesh Keshav, who is undergoing treatment for a heart attack, is showing improvement, according to his friend Prathap Jayalakshmi. It has been 10 months since Rajesh was admitted to the hospital. Prathap informed that Rajesh’s health is improving after he returned home in Thiruvananthapuram from Vellore hospital.

PRATHAP:

I have been receiving many enquiries regarding Rajesh’s health. I have not been able to text back to all since I was busy with some projects. Yesterday was Suresh Gopi’s birthday. Every year, both Rajesh and I never missed the 'ritual' of visiting Suresh Gopi at his house in Sasthamangalam on his birthday and sharing sweets. This time, everyone at the house was enquiring about Malayalam’s popular anchor. Suresh Gopi was the one superstar who took extra care in Rajesh’s treatment and often visited him at Vellore.

Rajesh has been bedridden for 10 months. His health has been improving since he returned home from Vellore Hospital. Occasional fever and infections can delay that progress. Various therapies can be given only when the health condition improves.

He is being made to stand as part of the therapy. The movement of his arms and legs is also getting better. But if not in the mood, he will not cooperate with the therapy. As I mentioned earlier, it is like teaching a small child to do things.

Ramesh Pisharody called the other day and said that superstars, including Manju Warrier and Mammootty, had enquired about Rajesh. There was also a discussion about raising some funds by organising some kind of event to cover the heavy medical expenses.

Everything will be fine. Rajesh's family and friends are working tirelessly to bring him back to his old jubilant self. Old friends from the office and college classmates often visit him. All we have to share with him are old memories. Very soon, I hope Rajesh will come online. Let that miracle happen. I am also waiting for that.
