NEW DELHI: The phone conversation of an assistant professor misbehaving with a student, promising to leak the NEET UG question paper, surfaced on Saturday. The phone conversation of Assistant Professor Paramjit Singh of Lucknow University was leaked. In the audio, the teacher said that the papers had been arranged and enquired when it would be possible for him to meet her. However, the student declined the offer.
"Darling, I have leaked the question papers for you. When will you come to see me? You should come before the exam. I will give you the papers at the college," Paramjit says.
To this, the student replied, "Sir, I have studied everything, and the syllabus is complete."
Paramjith responded, "So you won't come to see me even once?" and to this the student said that she had matters to attend to at home and would try to come and meet him. Before ending the call, Paramjith demanded that she meet him before exams.
A final-year BSc Zoology student gave the phone conversation to the university authorities, alleging that Paramjith was constantly harassing her over leaked question papers. The student also alleged that Paramjith called her repeatedly and forced her to come to college while she was on leave due to her mother's health. The university handed over the transcript of the phone conversation to the police. Following this, Paramjith was arrested.
