NEW DELHI: Congress leader Kanhaiya Kumar was taken into custody by police for creating a ruckus in front of Kerala House. Kanhaiya, who arrived at the Kerala House reception on Friday evening claiming that he had booked a room in his name through a friend, became irked when the officials asked him for documents.
Kanhaiya refused to show the documents, saying that he did not have internet. Kanhaiya, who insisted on going to his room later, was stopped by Kerala House staff. A verbal argument ensued. Meanwhile, Kanhaiya Kumar also got into an argument with Resident Commissioner Puneeth Kumar, who had arrived there. After being informed by Kerala House staff, the Delhi Police arrived and took him into custody.
