PRAYAGRAJ: A woman has been accused of cheating several men of crores of rupees after befriending them through Tinder and other social media platforms. The incident took place in Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh. The woman, identified as Pallavi Singh Rajput, allegedly targeted men she met through dating apps. According to the complaint, Pallavi secretly recorded private photos and videos of the men during their meetings and later used the footage to blackmail them and demand money. The case came to light after a High Court lawyer filed a complaint.

As the friendships grew, she allegedly secretly recorded photos and videos during her meetings with the men. She would then threaten them with the private footage and demand large sums of money. The complaint states that Pallavi has extorted more than Rs 6 crore from victims so far.

Those who refused to pay were allegedly threatened with being implicated in criminal cases. It is also alleged that five men have already been sent to jail after false complaints were filed against them. Police have found that the woman also used social media accounts under the name ‘Sweety Tiwari’. Two other women and some men are also suspected to be part of the group.

Police have started a detailed investigation into the case. Photos showing bundles of cash spread out on a bed and the woman holding a weapon are also circulating on social media. However, the authenticity of these images has not been verified.
