Youth throws 11-month-old baby into river after dispute with wife

AGRA: A youth has been arrested for throwing his baby into the river following a fight with his wife. The incident happened on Friday at Agra in Uttar Pradesh. The youth identified as Rinku has been arrested. He threw his own 11-month-old daughter from the top of a bridge. He also tried to push his wife into the river, but she survived after locals rushed to the spot upon hearing her screams.

Rinku and his family reached the bridge on a bike. After the couple got into an argument, Rinku threw the baby from the bridge. Locals arrived and thrashed Rinku. Videos of the incident are circulating on social media. The woman told the local residents that her husband had been regularly assaulting her at home. She showed them the video as evidence.

On being informed, the police arrived and began searching for the baby, who had fallen into the river. The search was carried out with the help of divers. Police suspect that the accused deliberately brought his wife and child to the bridge with the intention of killing them.
